This large heart was carefully constructed using heat, a hammer and love. Meticulously wrapped with peachy-pink colored pearls, it resembles a delicate valentine.

Total length of sterling silver chain is about 17" (about 43 cm). Clasp is a sterling silver lobster claw style. Dimensions of heart are 1.5" tall x 1.5" wide (about 4 cm x 4 cm).

Love, after all, is what makes the world go around.

Freshwater pearls were painstakingly wire wrapped together to make a truly romantic and delicate piece.

All components, from the wire used to form the word "Love" and the wire linking the pearls together, down to the lobster claw clasp, are made of 12K gold fill. The color of the wire is difficult to capture, and so I have included several photos. It is best described as a rich golden honey color.

Total length of necklace is about 17" (43 cm). Pearls are about 4 mm in diameter. Please contact me if you would like to modify the length.

Learning more about gold-fill:

Gold-filled components are composed of a solid layer of gold bonded to red brass. Gold-filled items can be worn daily for many years without wearing through (up to 30), and as per Federal Trade Commission standards, if the gold layer is 12 K or higher, the minimum layer of karat gold in the item must equal at least 1/20 the weight of the total item. Gold-filled items are also 50 to 100,000 times thicker than regular gold plating.
